Apex Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is expanding and now offers Urgent Care from our board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, Stephanie Ferron. In the moment of concern for an injury or illness, it may be difficult to tell when and where to seek help. An appropriate Urgent Care visit is best characterized as an illness or injury that does not appear to be life-threatening but cannot wait until the following day or until your regular physician’s office is able to see you. If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency that cannot wait, this constitutes an Emergency Room visit. We do not offer emergency services. 

The following are examples of circumstances where you may consider coming to visit us at urgent care:

• Accidents and falls

• Cuts that may stitches (NOT deep wounds with significant blood loss)

• Wheezing or shortness of breath (i.e., mild to moderate asthma)

• Eye irritation/redness

• Moderate flu-like symptoms

• Minor broken bones or fractures 

• Moderate back pain

• Severe sore throat or cough

• Sprains and strains

• Urinary Tract Infections

• Diarrhea

• Vomiting

• Dehydration

• Altitude Sickness

• Ear Infections

• Sinus Infections

• Upper Respiratory Infections

• Ingrown Toenail(s)

• Shin splints

• Ankle Sprains

• Broken/sprained fingers

• Broken toes

• Knee injuries

• Back injuries

• Sport's Physical

• School Physical

• Work excuse for illness
